SLX kitchen at Sidra Villa, Dubai

The SLX-K Kitchen has a combination of two materials, Onyx Oak laminate and Lotus White to strike a contrast between the island and the back wall. For the countertop we chose Eter from Dekton with its dark granite structure in black and grey tones, which boasts a background of gentle contrasts, with a strong contemporary feel.

The island on the other hand is in Lotus White with a worktop in Rem from Dekton. It is inspired by Calacatta Lincoln with brown and grey veining and hints of gold. The Miele Appliances on the back wall are in Obsidian Black to match the dark Onyx Oak fronts.

The design brief was to create a kitchen that would stand out and create a statement. To achieve this, we used cabinetry that reaches up to the ceiling with a small shadow gap. OGSM glass wall units were used to add transparency and lightness into the cooking space to effectively balance the dark Onyx Oak door fronts in the kitchen.

Considering the space was host to several social gatherings, the island consists of an induction hob and pop-up extractor from Miele ensuring a minimalistic design feel. A Quooker tap was also integrated to add to the functionality of the kitchen.
